The mediterranean shape of shade

Since its origins, the Mediterranean Sea has been a source of inspiration for artists and architects.
A unique cultural universe where the sea meets civilizations rich in traditions, decorative detail, colours, scents and light.
From Greek atmospheres to Arab-influenced aesthetics, from terraces overlooking the deep blue to courtyards wrapped in bougainvillea, each place tells a story of outdoor living shaped by hospitality, conviviality and a slow appreciation of beauty. It is precisely from this Mediterranean sensibility that we drew inspiration to design umbrellas capable of shaping atmosphere, identity and connection with the spaces they inhabit, giving them an authentic, timeless appeal.

At the Salone del Mobile 2026, this vision took shape both in the stand architecture and in the products presented: decorative profiles and lines inspired by the artistic traditions of Mediterranean countries transformed shade into a scenic and architectural element designed for contemporary contract and hospitality environments.

Among them, pagodaire stands as one of the most iconic expressions of this research.
Its contemporary reinterpretation of the classic pagoda silhouette gives the product a refined, recognisable presence, evoking the allure of distant cultures, Mediterranean elegance and architectural lightness within a single umbrella.
Alongside its strong aesthetic identity, crafted down to the finest detail, pagodaire also integrates the innovation of a side-arm structure, designed to fully free the space beneath and naturally enhance the outdoor experience.
Ideal for terraces, poolside areas, outdoor lounges and high-end hospitality settings, pagodaire does not simply define a shaded area—it helps shape the very atmosphere of the place.

Because in Mediterranean culture, shade is never just protection.
It is part of the way we live space.
